The newest iteration of the Theology, Modernity, and the Arts project, the Theology, Modernity, and Literature project begins with a series of panel meetings in Trinity Hall. The steering committee is formed, and specific goals and research questions for the project are determined.
Poetry and Christ’s Passion Panel
Theology, Modernity, and Literature committee member and poet Malcolm Guite leads a public panel with contemporary poets John Robert Lee and Hillary Davies. The three poets read original work and engage in a discussion about poetry and the Passion of Christ.
Betrayal and Devotion
A collection of musicians and poets from Cambridge and Duke Divinity School presents a program of word and song reflecting the Passion of Christ and inspired by Judas’s betrayal of Jesus and the devotion of the woman who bathed Jesus’s feet.

The Art of New Creation Book Launch
Musicians, poets, and academics from King’s and Duke Divinity School gather to launch a new book of DITA research, The Art of New Creation. The ceremony features a performance by DITA delegates and addresses by the editors as well as renowned theologian N. T. Wright.
