Easter 2015

The Five Quintets and Original Work

In the final event of the 2015 Easter at King’s gathering, award-winning poet Micheal O’Siadhail reads from his work in progress, Five Quintets—a work which explores how faith has responded to modernity. Interwoven with piano music specially written by Jeremy Begbie and performed by Cordelia Williams, the reading takes place in the renowned Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge before a large public audience populated with members of the DITA-Cambridge partnership. A cornerstone event in the Theology, Modernity, and the Arts project, the event explores the foundational concepts later taken up in the Theology, Modernity, and Literature project in 2022.
