Easter 2012

Part 3: “Visions de l’Amen”

DITA Director Jeremy Begbie performs and explicates the theological structure of “Visions de l’Amen” by French composer and Roman Catholic Olivier Messiaen. Begbie is joined by Cordelia Williams, a London-based concert pianist, for this piece for four hands. Premiering on Good Friday, the performance takes place in King’s College Chapel in a gallery of prize-winning photographs from Duke Divinity students, faculty, and staff. The evening was a key event in the 2012 Easter at King’s festival.
